Bernard graduated from the National University of Singapore with a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Honours), with a specialization in Environmental Biology and a minor in Aquatic Ecology. Under the Special Programme in Sciences at the National University of Singapore, Bernard mentored students in subjects ranging from Environmental Sciences, Geology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Microbiology at an undergraduate level. After joining Mastermark, Bernard has served as the wildlife biologist in a consulting role for both Changi Airport Group in Singapore, as well as Angkasa Pura II in Indonesia. In this position, he directed a grass height management trial, and assisted in the airport audit for wildlife management at Seletar airport. In addition, he conducted 13 km attractant studies for both Changi and Seletar Airport in Singapore. Bernard also had a hand in conducting wildlife hazard management training under the partnership between Mastermark and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. His interests are in Environmental Biology, Risk Management and Aviation Safety. When Bernard is not hard at work, he enjoys birdwatching and cycling.
