Hello and welcome to airportbiologist.com!

Airports are home to many different species of animals that can cause problems for planes. Some of these include birds, bats, rodents, reptiles, insects, and even small mammals. Knowing which animals are dangerous and where they thrive will help you avoid costly damages at your airfields.

Animals around airports pose a threat to aircraft safety and many are not aware about what Airport Wildlife Hazards there are, how they may affect airport operations and how we can mitigate risks.

Who are we

We are a group of wildlife biologists dedicated to airport wildlife management under Mastermark Pte Ltd, Singapore. Our keen interest in animals motivates us to create management programmes that are humane and feasible for airport operators.

What are we trying to achieve

AiportBiologist.com seeks to create a sharing platform where a community of like-minded and interested individuals can come together to share information and advice on airport wildlife mitigation. It also serves as an information resource centre for members to learn about wildlife hazard management at aerodromes, bird strike mitigation and wildlife management in an airport context.

To kick off

We will be rolling out a couple of articles that hopefully will be useful to airport operators all over the world. These articles will be talking about the various problems that an airport might face as well as insights to the different wildlife species that may affect your aerodromes! As AirportBiologist.com seeks to become a resource hub for anything airport wildlife hazard related, we also welcome any proposals for articles to be featured here on our site as well. We are open to any suggestions or feedback to build an inclusive and cohesive community of people that are looking for solutions for airport wildlife hazard management.
